“We’re not allowed to not think about these things.”
When I asked my wife, Beth, why she’s doing this, she said:
“Well, I hate wearing dresses … But why wouldn’t I do it? Because I’m uncomfortable? Uh, that’s a bad excuse … I’m just really passionate about fighting for women’s rights and the women trapped in modern-day slavery. And this is a simple form of advocacy that I couldn’t say ‘no’ to.
We’re not allowed to not think about these things.”
She mentioned that human trafficking and slavery are not just happening in other countries. They happen right next door.
