This is a poem by my friend, Philip.
A man labors in hopeful endeavor,
And supports a societal progress,
So this life’s cycle goes on forever.
He sells for prophet what he buys for less.
This man labors in hopeful endeavor.
Supposes his legacy will impress.
The slave searches for ease from his slavers,
Seeking some peace by summoning solace.
Yet this life’s cycle goes on forever.
The hungry craves eats, his search is endless.
Those men labor in hopeful endeavor.
The numb naked need necessary dress.
A dying beggar is noticed never,
For the rich have no care for those with less.
And this life’s cycle goes on forever.
Prestigious priests pray for God to bless.
God’s men labor in hopeful endeavor.
They store up treasures in heaven I guess.
Self-pride cause relations to sever.
Monsters destroy deserted defenseless.
Ha! This life’s cycle goes on forever.
Listen to me, thee, whose life is a mess.
All you who failed to attain your success.
All men oft labor in hopeful endeavor,
But this life’s cycle goes on forever.
